Frequently asked
Is the app really free?
Yes, free forever. Tutut started in 2019 as a student project and is still maintained because it's useful day to day and a great way to keep learning Flutter. No subscriptions, no paywalls. You can export CSV and back up your data to restore later. If you want to say thanks, a coffee on Ko-fi helps keep it going.
Where do fuel prices come from?
From official government open data. Each station updates its own prices; Tutut simply shows what they declare. More detail is in the app under About.
Which countries are supported?
France and Spain for now, because that's where the author travels. More European countries would be a pleasure if there's interest and time.
Do I need an OBD adapter?
No, it's optional. Fuel prices, Garage, expenses and TCO work without one. An OBD adapter unlocks live consumption and trip logging. The app recommends a few adapters the author has personally tried. The only cost is the hardware itself.
Is there an iOS version?
Not yet. Tutut is Android-only for now. iOS is planned as soon as a Mac is available.
Do I need an account?
Only if you want to join the Eco Challenge leaderboard. No email is required, so don't forget your password ;)
What data leaves my device?
Your car dossier, trips and location stay on your phone. The only optional exception is Crashlytics for anonymous crash reports, off by default; you can opt in in Settings.
Can I back up my data?
Yes. Export CSV and make backups of your app data so you can restore later if you change phones.
